Get Up To Speed About The Gran Turismo 5 Academy

Gran Turismo 5 features over 1000 different stylish cars with over two dozen track locations with so many variations that the game includes about 70 circuits. Some of the cars featured include the Lamborghini and the Bugatti, as well as the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG and the Ferrari's latest 458 Italia. Many hybrid cars like the Toyota Prius and the Honda Insight have been known to appear on the game, as well as some electric cars such as the Tesla Roadster.

The game features head tracking, using PlayStation Eye, which will help the player move their head naturally but have the view around the 3D cockpit move around to get a full view and to add to the realistic aspect of racing. Another new feature of the Gran Turismo game is the GPS based device that creates a ghost lap through a real life race circuit allowing someone to view or race against their own real life driving.

The realistic nature of this game will thrill you as it is the Gran Turismo 5 game will be the very first of the entire series to include mechanical and external damage modeling, where real-time deformation of your engine can occur depending on the speed and angle of your impact. All of it will be exactly true to life, and the damages that will appear on the screen will be the exact same as you might experience if you were really racing and a car crashed into your side. If you want more action packed adrenaline pumping adventure, you will be pleased to know that for the first time ever, it is possible to overturn other cars and to see them get damaged and have their interiors and exteriors smashed to bits. As other games only had mechanical damage, there will be even more exciting and thrilling destruction in this new version.

Also, for the first time ever, an online version will be available in the game with a the ability to incorporate more than 16 players. Imagine playing with people all over the world and connecting via an online system for maximum fun and excitement.

Night racing makes a reappearance in this version, with the option for you to take your premium car out on a track in the dark of night and participate in a variety of weather effects and harsher conditions. This is the first game that will allow for Stereoscopic three dimensional resolution, in the attempts to further maximize your gaming experience.

If you have a love for adventure and competition, you will love participating in the World Rally Championship, NASCAR, and Super GT, all of which have licenses that will appear in the game.

Designed by Kazunori Yamauchi, this game is sure to be something that will transport you from this world and take you into the fast paced, exciting, adventurous and extraordinary world of race car drivers till you are nearly blown away by the thrill of it all. Since this game even allows you to output your high definition replays onto YouTube, you can share with the whole world your extraordinary racing feats, maneuvers, and even drastic damages.

Gran Turismo 3 - PS2

Gran Turismo 3 - PS2 is the racing game that took the genre to the next level, and was the first game that really showed off what the Playstation 2 was capable of in terms of graphics, sound, gameplay and an overall gaming experience. Released by Sony in 2001, Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec has become one of the best-selling PS2 games of all time, and set the benchmarks for what a video game should offer.

When playing Gran Turismo 3 PS2, you'll spend the bulk of your time playing through the simulation mode. In this mode you're given 10,000 credits (the game's currency) and the task of buying your first car. With this car you can enter progressively difficult races, and earn money as you go, which can then be used to add modifications to your car (that will improve its handling or overall speed), or for buying new cars. Another major part of this mode is the license test centre, which includes the B, A, IB, IA, Rally and S-class licenses. As you go through the game you'll need to acquire each license (each license is made up of 8 separate tests), as different races require you to have different licenses in order to become eligible to enter.

Gran Turismo 3 PS2 also has the benefit of being one of the lengthiest racing games ever, as many of the endurance races can last up to and beyond two hours. Many casual gamers have since criticised Sony's decision to include such endurance races, but they are in-truth meant solely for the hardcore gamer that plays the game purely for the love of racing. One of the best things about Gran Turismo 3 is the way that you can modify every part of your car - right down from the suspension to the gear ratios. This gives you total control over your driving experience, and means that you can tinker with different elements to get maximum performance from your driving machine.

Gran Turismo 4 Overview

The Gran Turismo sequence is in my opinion the best racing simulator ever. It's a requiring game and some times it might get frustrating. It takes time to adapt to the controls and to the game itself. But the game has been made that way it is made as a simulator and not as an arcade game. It's the closest you can get to the real life.

The developers have always done a great work with offering the gamers the most realistic experience. Due to this some might find the game frustrating but that's the way it was supposed to be. It is not Need for Speed or Burnout Paradise or any other arcade game you don't have some impossible boosts or take a corner with 250 km/h. Gran Turismo 4 has great physics and if you are looking for a super realistic game then this is for you.

The game is rather hard, even after you have improved your driving skills and have bought faster cars it will take you literally hundreds of hours to complete the entire game. And even after that you will want more. The graphics are very good but still they can't match those of its main rival Forza Motorsport. I think that's the only piece where Gran Turismo falls back. In all other aspects GT is better.

The physics have been update since the previous Gran Turismo and it made a big difference. That piece was good in the previous game but now it's just amazing. All the G forces, the tilt of the cars and everything else are so realistic. The biggest setback of Gran Turismo 4 is the fact that there is no damage to the vehicles. This means that you can hit other cars, barriers and walls the car will be in ideal condition. And some guys do hit other players or walls in order to get in front.
There is an awesome feature in the game which teaches you all the essential things you must master and then if you pass the tests it gives you a licence. I find this a very good way to build your skills up. Even if you have never played a racing game before you could become a decent racer. There are more than seven hundred different cars from over eighty manufacturers. In every car you can play from three different viewing angles.
Gran Turismo is the best racing simulator on the market for some time and it has some opponent but still none of them can claim to be better. Gran Turismo 4 is a must have for every car lover who has PlayStation.
